I will tell you now this piece will be part of a bigger collection! - but I wanted to share with you this piece now as it’s unusual and I got too excited!
Made from glass pieces i made in the summer (little paintings) i attached to some more glass and slumped into a wave. I drilled a hole where the incense stick can live.
Now this shape was originally designed by my mother, who for her MA final show made these huge wavey glass sculptures. Her inspiration was how as a little girl she would help my Grandfather, develop film and photos in their bathroom; and one of her jobs was hanging the rolls of film to dry. And they would form this wave…….
so 25 years on, I’m using the same moulds she used and adding my story to this shape.
